The Wayfind Collective podcasts feature stats and stories of individuals on the fringes and the communities // organizations committed to their flourishing. The podcast hosts interview people from all walks of life, from those experiencing homelessness to foster care, sexual assault survivors to incarceration, black and brown communities to the LGBTQ+ communities. The conversations are intimate and personal, providing a window into the lives of people who are often overlooked or misunderstood.
Through these stories, our podcast aims to create a culture of movement and empathy, encouraging listeners to engage with their neighbors on the fringes and to take action towards a more equitable and just society. The Wayfind Collective podcasts are an important voice in the conversation around social change and representation in our neighborhoods.
Welcome to the Wayfind Collective, a grassroots nonprofit of humans on a mission to discover what it really means to love your neighbor as yourself. We believe that every person has the power & a calling to grow in empathy and compassion as we get involved in causes that strike a unique chord inside us. We’re here to create safe spaces to facilitate you on that journey. While we are based in North Georgia, we know that every street, neighborhood, and community has an endless need for GOOD neighbors and we hope our movement will inspire many to become just that.
Through our YOU DON’T KNOW podcast, we share the inspiring stories of our neighbors on the fringes & the people who have partnered with them, providing a platform for their voices to be heard. Additionally, our online database allows users to search and connect with people-serving groups in our area. IT COULD BE YOU (our brand new youth podcast!) is designed to broadly, gently introduce a difficult people-marginalizing topic for potential first-time hearers. Our ultimate goal with this sister podcast is to build compassion and empathy in the adults of tomorrow, to help them see and hear our neighbors on the fringes, and to reaffirm the humanity of all those involved.
Social justice is what love looks like in public.
Cornel West
Love goes beyond personal relationships and extends to the collective well-being of all people. It suggests that the way we treat others and the actions we take to address societal issues are an expression of our love for humanity.
Social justice should be a visible and active force in society, rather than just an abstract concept or personal belief. By embodying love through social justice, we can create a more equitable and compassionate world for all.
