A Little Podcast Goes a Long Way : Wayfind Co. Podcast E1

For real for real… we thought this podcast was 2-5 years down the road. It seemed like a pie-in-the-sky dream … a *maybe one day* hope. Yet here we are, 8 months after our public launch and our first episode of the Wayfind Collective podcast is published!!!

How did this happen? GreatQuestionIWouldLoveToTellYou (Hey Elise! We know you’ll never see this but that was a direct nod to you, home skillet!). When the good people of Wayfind started doing the meat work that is the crux of who Wayfind is – that is, sitting down with the people who are boots on the ground here in North Georgia… the ones seeing issues and using all of their much-ness to love our neighbors well, hearing their stories, asking questions, getting emotional as they shared the vision + the burden + the passion + the heartbreak… we knew. We were having podcast worthy conversations every. single. day. And North Georgia needs to hear them.

Thus. Here we are. On Spotify. Hopefully in your earholes filling your life with all kinds of good-ness.

Every week we sit down with folks in our community who are DOIN THE THANG – seeing needs, rallying, and doing whatever they can to meet those needs – and we ask them one MILLION questions.

Who are you?
Where did you come from?
What are you doing?
Why did you start doing that?
Why should we care?
How can we partner with you?

And we just listen to their heartbeat. It feels so good to listen.

Week #1 – Is us! WayfindCo! We explore who we are, why we started, where our name came from, all the ways we are coming alongside the community here in N.GA, and how YOU can benefit from this project!

Week #2 – We are interviewing the incredible Ari Mathe with Hall is Home for Kids // the Holidays! We will deep-dive the issue of Foster Care in North Georgia. Buckle your seatbelts and find your OhS*t handle. It’s about to get real.

Weeks #34567… will it be homelessness? Food insecurity? Veteran’s issues? Incarceration? Teen focus? LatinX communities? Mental Health? You’ll just have to keep checking back to see (but I promise it’ll be worth your while).

Thanks, Gainesville. Thanks, Hall County. Thanks, North GA. You have been such a supportive + encouraging home-base as we’ve jumped in head first. It’s good to be in your neck of the woods. <3
