Amped Kids

The life of a foster child is very uncertain. Being removed from their home often without notice and transitioning to live with a stranger and very few of their own belongings is traumatic. Due to these circumstances along with the neglect and abuse suffered, foster children are often withdrawn and fearful suffering with depression and anxiety.

We believe in the power of music to transform lives and bring healing to body, mind and soul. Music is a universal language and positive connector for foster children. Bringing awareness to music education is a part of our work in helping create opportunity through community, networks and partnerships. We are dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of children and building trusting relationships that develop strong mentorships for a lifetime. Studies show that primary education and music education go hand-in-hand. Through music education, children build creative and critical thinking skills, self-esteem and life skills that contribute to success. Through music education, music therapy and other unique music educational experiences, Amped Kids is bringing healing to our foster children in Georgia.
