Rape Response serves as a system of support, advocacy, and education, providing services to the community and survivors of sexual assault (ages 13 and older) while safeguarding the dignity of each person served.

 

Rape Response, Inc. provides support, education & advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, ages 13 & older, & their loved ones in a service area that includes Dawson, Forsyth, Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin & White Counties in Georgia. Rape Response has carried out its mission to provide support, advocacy, and education, providing services to survivors of sexual assault while safeguarding the dignity of each person served since 1988. Their services include a 24-hour crisis line, counseling and support groups, medical accompaniment, crisis intervention, judicial accompaniment and support, professional training, education and community awareness, sexual assault response team coordination, and forensic medical exams. 

All of this they provide FOR FREE.

Rape Response is the local sexual assault center here in our neighborhood. But (and this is very important) – no matter where you are, you probably have one of these centers very close to you. In the event that you do not, please know that you can call any of them. They will not turn you away, they will do their very best to help you find local resources no matter where you are, and if you do not have local resources, they will help you as much as they possibly can.
