At StreetExit, our mission has evolved in response to the pressing challenges posed by the lack of affordable housing in our region. Recognizing the near impossibility of transitioning individuals from the streets to stable housing within the current workforce housing market, we’ve stepped into a cosmic game of ‘kick the can down the road’—a strategy born out of necessity to sustain lives until the long-awaited miracle of affordable housing arrives.

We firmly believe in offering a ‘hand up, not a handout,’ recognizing the dignity and agency of every person we serve. Many live in a parallel universe, watching others lead full lives, yet unable to step through the hazy curtain due to a lack of opportunity. It is our unwavering mission to break down that curtain, dismantling walls that hinder individuals from finding themselves and rejoining society. At StreetExit, we are not merely sustaining lives; we are illuminating paths, building bridges, and transforming communities for a future where everyone has a place to call home.
